Quizlet App

        Quizlet is an educational app used by students across the world, to help them understand and learn material for a class. It is said to have been used by 2/3 of the high school students in the United States. It is said to have also been used by 1/2 the universities of the US. Quizlet is a very important tool that helps with learning new topics and refreshing old topics using interactive games, or a classic learn style. This is perfect for knowing vocabulary, for a quiz or test. Some features are flashcards, learn, write, test. Some games include Match, and gravity. 

How it Works:

       First you have to get your words and definitions or questions and answers and put them into the Term and Definition section. Once this is done, you can use the notecards, and all the features that come along with it. 

Great Features:

        Flashcards is the first feature Quizlet was used for. Flashcards are generic flashcards that are digital version rather than in your hand. It saves paper and it allows you to highlight definitions or words you got wrong, and lets you quiz on them again one you've finished the whole set. It allows you to return to where you got the words or questions wrong and redo them. 

        Another great feature is the Learn feature. This feature calls for you to first guess the word given the definition, or guess the definition given the word. Once you get it right, it puts the word in the familiar category. Later on, the app will require you to recall the word when it gives you the definition, with no multiple choice options. 

        Test is also a great feature, as it produces a mock test to help test you on certain aspects. You can modify the test so that it has different question types or how many questions it has. It can prove as a very useful resource and provide a test run as to what a test may look like. 

         

        You can also look at other peoples sets if you just search up their usernames or the name of their set. This way you do not have to rewrite the flashcards they had made. You can just make your own copy and either add your own words or change up the definitions to what you want. 

        

        One of my favorite games on Quizlet is Gravity because you have to guess the word or definition of the boulder that is falling down the screen. If you get the word or definition right the boulder is destroyed. If you get the word wrong then the boulder will keep falling down your screen. 

        In conclusion, Quizlet is a very good tool to help students better learn or memorize topics that they could not before in a fun way.
