Kids are now exploring the world differently than before. Since the invention of a computer, the knowledge of people keeps growing every day. Either searching for recipes or doing a research project, it has changed the learning process. The current and future generations can know anything in a matter of seconds. As you can tell, the way a computer has evolved from taking up a whole garage to fitting in a backpack.
My expectations for the future may take time, but technology in the classroom is advancing everyday. Computers, smartphones, and tablets have started to replace activities in the classroom. Computers are being used for online games to help kids learn, with many online programs to help. Google classroom, Schoology, and many other resources help organize the way kids are using their time online in the classroom. Those websites can have due dates and grades that can also help with time management as well. But as technology becomes more involved with the learning of students, sometimes it isnt enough.
For the future, i hope that there are holograms. Holograms in the classroom can help in a visual learning experience. For example, teaching biology is a subject that would use it very often so that students could see the way the cells works and acknowledge the different parts to the cell itself. If that is created, students could have more of a raw understanding of the topic. When i say raw, i mean more up close and more life like. Currently in classrooms, online activities on the cells are highly animated and dont truly reflect the cell. Holograms can help change the learning experience by bringing things to another level. My hopes for the future technology dont just include holograms but robots too. Yes, there are robots in robotics, but im more on the track of a classroom robot that would act more like an assistant to the teacher. In my opinion i think that the future could create such an idea, that could potentially help with the learning in the classroom as well. The future is hard to predict, but those are my expectations and hopes of future technology in the classroom. It may take years and years, but these expectations arent impossible.
