Code.org as an Amazing Tool

Image result for code.org     Within our world, knowing how to code and use technology is extremely helpful in school or college and can be a big factor in acquiring jobs. Schools across the world are using this amazing tool to teach kids and even adults how to code and programming. Code.org is a programming tool that students can use to block Python code and code an arrow into doing specific tasks. The further the student can go into the app the more tools they can use and the more coding techniques they learn.

Kids for many schools are now interested in coding and its many uses. Code.org has also broken the stereotype of girl coders as almost half of their audience is made up of female coders. Over one million teachers are signed up and using code.org as a teaching method and of those teachers 99% of them recommend it as a tool. Not only have kids learned from code.org but close to one hundred thousand teachers have learned off of code.org as well. The website itself is even accessible in 50 languages and 180 countries.
Ashland High School actually uses code.org as a teaching method. Teachers can make lessons and students can learn new pieces of code bit by bit (get it). Even in AP Computer Science code.org is used to do part of the AP test itself. Students are to code a complex game and then hand it in via the college board. So many people are touched by code.org and now use it frequently or even daily. Computer science is an important thing that every child should learn or at least have an understand of. By implementing a fun way of learning how to code children and even adults can discover an interest they didn't even know they had. Code.org is not just a fun interactive website, but a key part in teaching kids how to code and setting them on the computer science path for their future.
