Introduction to Recording Apps and Websites

There are many different apps for recording out there. Some cost money, some are free, some have many features, some have few. Among all these choices, it can be hard to figure out what apps are the best for you. For my 'Teach-A-Teacher' project, I helped our French teacher find recording  apps he could use for speaking homework assignments. All of the apps I found are free, as this is necessary for any school app. Here are some of the apps that I found:

iTalk Recorder

iTalk Recorder is a sight that I liked particularly for its simple and intuitive interface. Recording is extremely easy to do, and this the most important thing for any recording app. The app also allow you to email your recordings, witch is essential for my purpose because the students would need to send their recordings to their teacher in some way to get credit for the homework assignment. Overall, this app's quality and simplicity make it a great choice.

Vocaroo

Vocaroo is a recording website that I found. It also has an easy to use recording feature, and it is a perfectly serviceable site, but it is a little more difficult to send audio through this source. It is possible, but the user interface for Vocaroo is slightly less intuitive.

Recordium

Recordium is a great site particularly because it offers many options for editing your recording. You can take out bits from the middle of a recording, as well as trim the beginning and end. You can also annotate recordings. The app lets you highlight and add notes in your recording, which could be very useful. Recordium also allows you to share completed recording through many sources, including google drive, which is essential.

Voice Recorder & Audio Editor

This app is another good choice. It is really easy to record with this app. All you have to do is press one button. It also lets you export recordings through google drive and has some editing features including trimming recordings.

All of these apps are free and relatively easy to use. When looking to record audio, look no further than these four apps.
