Code.org is a great educational tool that teachers can use to organize and run classes about a variety of topics such as the internet, online privacy, big data, coding, and more. The tool is guided towards high school students with little experience in coding or technology. I would rate this tool very highly for a variety of reasons. One important feature that it offers is a variety of ways to teach students like videos, activities and questions that help to drive the lessons. Code.org also offers tools like applab that gives students hands on experience to help each student understand and practice the material. I have access to these code.org lessons because I am taking a computer science course in school that uses this lesson plan and it was designed to aid in the classroom, but it can also be helpful to use individually.
